nVidia Card Help

Alright so in my computer i have an AGP nvidia card, the 6800 XT... In the system profiler it says i have a PCI 6800 GS. I've been trying to get dual monitors working and i cant seem to get it to work. Could that be the problem? If so how do i fix it? I've tried both natit 0.01 and 0.02 with no luck. I'm trying to put a DVI monitor and a DSUB > DVI adapter on it and when i do, it just switches to the dsub and blacks out my dvi monitor.
