hi, i have everything that i want to work on my JaS 10.4.8 PFF1 install except for the audio. i have built-in audio on my dell Dimension 4400 and it works fine, but has the distortion like the chipmunk sound. i also have a creative soundblaster pci that i installed into the computer, but if i plug in the sound to the soundblaster card, then it just does nothing. is there a way to turn off the built in audio and turn on the soundblaster? it says here that the sound card works fine without patching, but it doesnt.

thanks

P.S. in the install that i used, when you try to go to "about this Mac" it does kind of a software reboot where it goes to a blue screen and just comes back on like it was in standby. i was wondering if there is a reason that is doing that and if it can be fixed.

10.4.8 is known to lag a bit think its the 8.1.1 kernel you could update it

the newer 10.4.9 updates also inc a newer kernel segest you do it.

worked for me no more little freezes .

sound well what sound chip do you have? its the adi 1885 next time google for that wil you! makes my job easer to help you

go to http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...=32859&st=0

download latest version of the patcher

then go to http://psykopat.free.fr/apple/AppleHDA/ADI/

get your self a driver it might take some tinker ing to get this to work

anny way download the driver.txt and just drag and drop the file to the patcher icoon it will do the rest for you. just reboot see if it gets better.
