real_sinjon Posted April 13, 2007 Share Posted April 13, 2007 I have a IBM T40 with 10.4.5. and a Netgear WPN511 which works without any mods. As soon as I update to 10.4.6 and beyond I lose wireless. My question is how can I get it back? I can't seem to figure out the best option. Do I do something with old kext files? Not too hot on this side of things so excuse if this sounds a bit thick. Should I buy for about £30 the IBM/Lenovo mini pci wireless card. I believe it uses atheros chipset so would I have the same issues? Are any of the Apple Airport cards the same form factor as the IBM one? Is this a standard card that will fit any laptop and if so should I get one of these as that would seem most likely to work? Or is there a better more reliable PCMCIA card that I could use?
