Apple Freak
Of course, just get the patcher, and patch the JaS patch file to it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48001-how-do-i-make-a-bootable-installation-disc/#findComment-343786 Share on other sites
atari1980
Ok, what do i have do search for ? I know i need the Intel SSE3 patch and i guess i have to get those PPF1 & PPF2...but i've looked for everything JaS patch but did not find anything useful anywhere (except broken links of what seems to be old versions)... if i knew the official name of the latest patch that would be a great start. EDIT: the mac was bought last week, so i guess that it was OS X version 10.4.8 (ive done an update so i'm not 100% sure as it says 10.4.9 now) or Maybe there's a way to check what version is included on the installation disc? AlexDM
Hi to all! I need help to make bootable a Mac DVD Install Patched I already know that are posts with this information, but it does not work to me. I need more help... I have been several days trying to make a DVD of installation customized of Mac OSX 10.4.8. and it is being to me impossible... Good, I make the modifications on the image of the DVD of installation jas.10.4.8, but at the time of making the image, it is not bootable. These are all the steps that I have tried to see if somebody can say to me in that I am being mistaken... I have proven to turn the image of these two ways and has not worked hdiutil convert source.dmg - format UFBI - o dest.dmg hdiutil convert source.dmg - format UDRW - o dest.dmg hdiutil convert source.dmg - format UDTO - o dest.dmg Also I have proven with the CCC and super dupper and it has not worked to me either. As he were already desperate, from Windows with the tool to isobuster I have verified the image originates and the CD and I have seen that they are done with hybrid format. In order to be able to make an image iso in hybrid format, can by means of the hdiutil makehybrid - o /ruta/imagen/destino.iso /ruta/imagen/origen.iso makehybird allows to add an option of boot by means of the following options -eltorito-boot -hard-disk-boot -no-emul-boot but with himself not to pass the image to him of starting. The image image that I want to put is the one that I have of the original image Jas 10.4.8 (bootinfo.img). In fact when analyzing the image originates or the DVD can be seen a structure similar to this: Part Iso --> Label osx86dvd With the archives: BOOT BOOT.CAT BOOT0 BOOT1H BOOT1U BOOTHELP.TXT CDBOOT CHAIN0 Bootable Part --> Label: bootable With the archives: BootCatalog.cat BootImage.img Part HFS --> Label: Mac OS X Install Disc x86 With the archives: All the files of installation of the DVD Good this I have been able yet on Windows to make a hybrid DVD (with the tool macimage) with the same structure except the bootable part that me is being impossible. Since I have not been able to make it bootable in mac, I have proven with tools like ultraiso and magiciso in Windows, but I have problems when keeping the image or when recording it, since one does not keep when I make bootable the image and record it and the other either does not let to me keep the part hfs from the image... Somebody has been able to do dvd installable for hackintosh? Or it knows in that I am making bad? A greeting and thank you very much.
