I installed using the JaS 10.4.8 Beta 2 DVD. Everything installs just fine, I selected the SSe2 patch and whatnot. Upon reboot directly after installation i just get a white blinking cursor in the top left of the screen, and it never boots. Any suggestions? On the OSX86 Wiki it says this laptop is almost fully working.

have you had your OS X running on your B130? i am using the same unit, if you need help, let me know. B130 works perfectly with JAS 10.4.8

my inspiron 1300 is also fine with JAS 10.4.8 but ... audio stattering is horrible

i'm using uphuck 10.4.9 now my cpu is quicker now !! and I din't have any problems with audio

but I can't set up my network ((( strange, JAS is friendly with networking

JAs 10.4.8 seems to be the most friendly version for B130. No audio stattering nor network problems. but, have you had your mic working properly? and close lid sleep problem?

no mic no sleep on Jas ((

haven't tried on uphuck but audio driver is the same

on both versions

for me uphuck is more friendly!! but network isn't working

I just found out how to use an external monitor instead of the "pin fix". I have a dual boot system with XP. What I figure it the following. Boot to Windows XP using an external monitor. Once you have boot up, choose restart and lower the lid of your laptop (assuming you have mine Dell Inspiron B130), it will restart and run into MacOs without the need of the pin fix!

BTW I am running 10.4.8
