rootuser
Specs: Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2500 2048MB DDR2 SDRAM NVIDIA® GeForce Go 7900 GS 256MB Intel 945PM chipset. My question is is there a build out there that i will not need to UNIXfu at midnight to get this working tonght. I am currently installing JaS v2 beta. Giving that a whirl. (yeah, I am getting old, im a geek with a kid I cant stay up all night tweaking like I used to) I have a firm grasp of UNIX and PCs. Im just a bit sleepy and am wondering if anyone has tried a install direct? I was getting a kernal fault after the last atempted install. Trying to install once more, need to check but is there a version that supports the 945PM SATA chipset? Thuanks. Your sleepy geek. Aperently this new fangled OSX is getting to me. Is there anyway to input startup options sans the DVDrom? I get the kernel panic, but it will not let me boot via hardrive in the DVD boot menu. It only shows the dvdrom volume. I have looked, and i can not find if there is a button to push or what. I know the switches and the options because well, unix is unix. But how the frack can you get to a boot loaded without the DVD? ___________________-- Just disabled the onboard nic. Now its booting. Still would like input.
