duncdisorderly Posted April 4, 2007 Share Posted April 4, 2007 Hi Guys, This is my first posting here, I just successfully installed OSX 10.4.3, my setup is AMD X2 AM2 Dual Core 4200 on an Asus M2m4-SLI board. I had the obvious problem with the onboard NIC but I installed an old Intel card I had lying around and it works perfectly. After installation i ran software update which only pulled down the latest Itunes and Quicktime. My main enquiry is will the updates on the Apple wesite that will take me from 10.4.3 to 10.4.8 (i think!?!) work with this hacked version of OSX and am i llikely to encounter other issues or am i better off keeping my currently working version the way it is. No, major updates (ie 10.4.3 to 10.4.9) will not worked on your machine. Search around here and there are plenty of guides and ready-made updates available.
