siriusbox
Hi! After hard days installing my 10.4.9 hackintosh, I've all my hardware working except for one thing... my printer. I've a OKI B4200 Laser Printer PCL, in a first moment the driver shouldn't be a problem, just because, there is a driver for MacOSX on OKI website. But after install the driver, it supposed that you should get a OKI B4200 "OKI USB" not "USB" only on the printer list, so you can select later your model from the list. Instead of this I only get the USB one, and I haven't any choices in the dropdown menu, I can only select printer for other manufactures, and in most cases PS ones. I know that installing Gutenprint I will get it to work selecting one of the PCL ones, but I want to use the original driver from OKI. My question is, where I could change/repair/associate the printer driver?, are there any .kext to put device_id in? I don't think so, cause the printer uses USB but maybe I'm wrong. Thank's in advance and sorry for my poor english. Bye! tinkertank
The driver is probably PowerPC, Rosetta doesn't translate drivers.
