camhabib
I'm trying to install the Jas OSX 10.4.8 installation on a P4 Dell GX400. I get it to install correctly but when I'm trying to boot the computer, it simply just flashes a line and never does anything. When I attempt to boot from the DVD, it gives me the error message that "System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found" and will not load OSX. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks. camhabib
How do you suggest I go about fixing it? Can I add a specific driver for my IDE? When I boot from the dvd and hit F8, the only option that comes up is "hd(2,1) JaS 10.4.8 AMD Intel SSE2 SSE3" which I understand is the DVD drive. When I boot from DVD and don't press anything, it just gives me that file missing message, no boot options etc. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47326-bootplist-not-found/#findComment-339142 Share on other sites

Eric.C
i have the same problem and was fixed by a ide to sata converter. theyr not that expensive, aroun 10 bucks on newegg. if u cant get one of those converters, or dont wanna open up ur case bcuz that will cause the warranty to expire, then go get a external dvd drive. make sure you also disable the ide controller in the bios b4 u begin the setup process Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47326-bootplist-not-found/#findComment-345661 Share on other sites
