Well,

The title and description are pretty clear but here is what I would like in more detail (may already exist but I haven’t seen it in the wiki or else ware). Anyways, I would like you guys here at osx86project to put to gather an easy to follow tutorial on creating your own pre-patched bootable OX86 install. Sure there are ready to burn generic install disks available on BitTorrent but why not just give us the guidance on how to make our own pre-patched install disks using the developer DVD and available patches such as Maxxuss’? I am sure it is possible but there doesn’t seem to be any good information on the subject. This would be helpful for those just wanting to give OSX86 a try with out having to fiddle with VMWARE and {censored} like that. Basically, teach us how to make our own generic install disks, something that we can just stick in the DVD drive, boot from it, and install it.

First off learn the search function it's your friend and have look around using Google another good friend. Lots of walkthroughs have been done. If you can't understand these, then download the pre-patch install disks from the web. What's it matter if you do the work or someone else, you still end up with the same install disk. just pick a version that is best suited to your system and download it and have some fun. If you are referring to 10.4.3 learn some patients it was just hacked a couple days ago.

I've apply TPM into tiger.iso.cdr, but now I have a question, is there any software under WINDOWS can burn this kind of format(.cdr). Because my laptop doesn't have DVD recorder. Can someone help me on this problem? Thanks a lot.

I have looked, couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. However, I may have missed it. Could you provide some links to the recourses you claim are available for just this topic?

Thanks

Slice,

I am with you in wanting to make a installable DVD with the different kext files for my system... I have been looking for days on how to do this and can't seem to find a defeinte solution. FFrom what I understand, the DVD has to have a specific check sum so just adding the proper kext in would change that...

I had to install 10.4.1 on an IDE (PATA) hard drive and then edit the kext for ICH7 so I could copy the install to a SATA hard drive. I would like to add the AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext for ICH7 directly to the install DVD so I can install on my SATA and skip the copying from IDE (PATA) to SATA. The kext floating around for ICH7 is not complete. It just adds the vendor and device for the IDE channel of the ICH7 and my motherboard does't have that setting in bios. I have to use AHCI or RAID... If you find a solution, please post back.

Thanks!

I'm trying to learn how to add custom kexts to the DVD in order to install it with the DVD
