Can anyone help? The error messege I get when I try to boot up the OSX from the HD is "Error Loading OS". Thats the only messege I get and I cant get any more info on the error because there is no option to do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

My system Specs are:

 

Asus nforce 590 sli wireless edition

AMD X2 4200+

2gb of DDR2 OCZ ram

IDE Hard Drive

8800GTX

hey im getting the same freaking error. what i can do to boot right now is booting with the DVD installer and then waiting 8 sec.

Ill continue doing research on this.

 

Oh i should add that this only happens because i have a partition with XP and did a clean copy of OSX(deleted the old partition and reinstalled).

Intel M 1.86Mhz (SSE2)

OS X 10.4.1

512Mb

You need to set your os x partition active, there are a few guides on here.

 

Use osx86 dvd then boot, after a welcome screen

Click 'Utility" menu then choose terminal,

Type:

mount -a

fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0

print [find partition number that contains macosx partition]

f 2 [2 = if your osx partition number is 2]

quit

reboot

 

You may also need to fix your MBR, you can use Ultimate Boot CD to do this.
