skotwarr
I am using a Toshiba Satellite A35 with windows XP. I used DiskPart to create a "af" format partition then typed active to make it active. After that, I used C:\tiger-x86>dd if=tiger-x86-flat.img of=\\?\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2 bs=32256 skip=1 --progress to put tiger x86 img to an external hard drive. I used this because the installation guide said if you were going to use windows boot loader to do that. I was able to use Ubuntu Live CD to copy Chain0 to a thumb drive and copy it to the root, then added C:\chain0="Mac OS x86" to the boot.ini. When I restart, I select Mac OS x86 and get the "Chain Booting Error." Has anyone seen this problem and know ho to fix it? Please help! skotwarr
Does anyone know what is causing this. I read the Chain0 wiki page but that did not help and did not see another post that had this exact problem using using tiger.tar. I saw some using the DVD but it didn't address my problem. I hope someone can help. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46259-chain-booting-error/#findComment-331168 Share on other sites
