mbkccad
My Specs: AMD 64 4000+ Asus A8N Deluxe 1.5GB dual channel ddr 400 Nvidia 7600 GT AMD final 10.4.8 from Tubgirl I’m running Natit .02 on a fresh install of tubgirls AMD final 10.4.8 with nvdaresman.kext, nvdanv40hal.kext, geforce.kext, geforce2mxgldriver.bundle, geforce3gldriver.bundle, geforcemsgldriver.bundle, geforcega.plugin, and geforcevadriver.bundle installed and my device ID (0x0391) is in the geforce.kext. I have QE and CI working with dual display. Everything seems to work perfect until I render in Maya 8.5. My render (using Vista) takes 1:37. Using OSX, the exact same render takes 12:24 What would be causing this delay with rendering? Any help is greatly appreciated! mbkccad
Well, I found out its not just slow with rendering. I ran xbench and have horrible scores! open gl was 13! My cpu was around 20. I've tried Jas 10.4.8 disk and tubgirls amd final. Both have run slow. What am I missing here? mbkccad
I found the problem!!! nforce chipset was not being installed. I applied the NforceSata.rar file to the AMD final image and installed. I instantly noticed a difference. Now my Xbench score looks much more reasonable for my hardware. Sedna
Just out of curiousity, would you do the same render test under Maya 8.5 in Vista and OS X to compare the results? mbkccad
Sure thing. In vista, the render took 1:10 to complete. OSX running tubgirls AMD final (with the nforce 4 patch) I get 1:18. I can live with the 8 second difference. OSX is running very solid for me.
