Aqua Posted March 22, 2007 Share Posted March 22, 2007 I'm running on an Asus P5LD2-VM motherboard, with a Asus ATI x1600 pro video card if that helps. Well, I'm on OSX 10.4.8 and I've been problems where sometimes while my screen will lock-up or hang when doing something slightly graphically intensive (Such as using Exposé or the flurry screensaver, I haven't installed WoW yet, so I don't know about that). It has locked up a few times in regular use too, but it could just be because of the whole openGL powered interface deal (although when that happens my mouse still works). Now the last problem, when I try and return from sleep the screen doesn't come back on (the moniter is black, and the power light blinks) and I noticed that the keyboard doesn't seem to be on either. tuxuser33 Posted March 22, 2007 Share Posted March 22, 2007 Forget sleep! To be sure disable all powersaving functions. Allmost all HackMacs do NOT wake up from sleep. Search this forum for reports. Are you shure your hardware esp. power supply and cooler are working properly? Aqua Posted March 22, 2007 Author Share Posted March 22, 2007 I ran OSX from 10.4.3 all the way up to 10.4.7, and sleep worked just fine for me then, so I think it's more of a driver or software issue of 10.4.8. Well, now that I think about it, there is something to note. since then I've moved from GMA950 integrated graphics to a x1600 pro, so it could always have something to do with the x1600 pro, because GMA950 never had ANY issues (I was able to wake up from sleep, play WoW, use QE, everything worked..
