My problem isn't processor, instructions... luckly i can solve the AC97 problem, but after this; when I want Install a program, for example, Messenger or Microsoft Intellitype, or Microsoft Office 2004... the system gives me a fatal error: The following disk images failed to mount Image Reason messenger.dmg device not configured I need help; now I have My Mac running perfectly with my nVidia, sound, and ethernet... this ultimate problem i can't solve... I ask for help... Pd: If somebody have the file "diskimagemounter.app" (of any version of OSX, preferently 10.4.8) located in System/Librabry/CoreSystem; could send (the file)me?... I replaced an kext of AC97 and the problem disappear and I got sound... Federico F. I think that if I replace the file I could get the system normally... Le Son Posted January 19, 2008 Share Posted January 19, 2008 Try loading IOHDIXController.kext. Type "sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/IOHDIXController.kext" in Terminal. I had that problem as well. All fixed!
