skype sound echo problem.

My Mac OS X 10.4.8 Jas .. is working great but only one annoying problem

After getting/giving a call from skype person on other side can hear my voice but along with HIS Voice.

 

Also I noticed now...when i record my own voice from quicktime all background noises and music gets recorded inspite of using only headphone. :censored2:

 

I looked upon System prefrences -> Audio setting -> input tab

Mic, CD , Phone, Stereo Mix, Mono Mix all have maximum volume I tried to lower down Stereo and Mono mix volume but then it get reduced for Mic also..

 

Even I cannot change channel setting from 2ch-16bit to 6 ch -16bit.... I have AC97 6 channel audio codec onboard.

 

My configuration:

AMD 64 3000+

Asus K8V SE Delux

Audio chipset: AC97' AD1980

Nvidia GeForce 5200FX 128Mb

Speaker: creative 2.1

beside 10.4.9 and Airport my Mac OS X is fully updated. Any one with solution plzzzzz!!!
