macbook black OS X 10.4

I moved my mach_kernel file when tidying up (maybe I've deleted it also... not sure yet)

without realising its significance.

I'm not at home at the moment, so don't have access to my install disks

I've 2 questions...

How can I boot into command line to replace it?

If I have deleted this file by mistake, is there somewhere I can download another from???

thanks for your help

Pop your install DVD in, and boot from there. Once the installer is loaded, fire up Terminal.

You may need to dig a bit, but the kernel is available in your install DVD as well.

I mean, once you get home :censored2:
