omar_g
Hi all, I installed from the pre-patched, bootable DVD image floating around. It installed fine onto a FAT32 partition. I rebooted after the installation sucessfully finished but all I get is the error "No operating system found". I tried to repair using the Windows XP CD and the "fixmbr" command but it made no difference. I'm fine to reformat and start again from scratch if I have to but can anyone offer any advice on getting it woring enxt time? I guess I need a bootloader but despite reading loads of guides I don't know where to start! CompMike
I had the same problem. Windows fixmbr did not work for me either. But if you have a knoppix disk. You can use a program called testdisk that will fix it and let you boot again. I forget the exact command but if you do man testdisk it will tell you all the options.
