I start my mac, then, I've the white screen whith the apple and so, the blue sky screen. But, this screen keep in this state and some text is displayed onto the screen. I've the idea to remove the kextcache and mext files extensions and so, the computer boot normaly. But, if I reboot whithout making this, I've the same error. Maybe I think this issue is due to kext fault but, I'm not very sure about that. Anyone else have the same problem ? I found out, that somehow my IONetworkingFamily.kext was replaced by a newer one (1.5.1) so i deleted it, restored the 1.5.0 version from the install-dvd, removed the kextcaches, repaired the permissions and rebooted. I read your answer about replacing the IONetworkingFamily.kext from the one on the install dvd. Please excuse my ignorance - how exactly would I do that? Where are these files located on the install dvd - I have searched the dvd - but I can't find them - are they in a compressed file? if so - which file.
