ranker Posted March 9, 2007 Share Posted March 9, 2007 Hello all, I'm having issues with my JaS 10.4.8 installation. I downloaded his 10.4.8 with PPF1 and applied the Defiant patch to fix the disc utility. I'm installing this into a Dell Inspiron 8600 Laptop with an 1.7 GHz Intel Pentium M processor (SSE2 I believe), 2 gigs of DDR-5300 RAM, an intel wifi b/g card, and an ATI Radeon 9600 Mobility with 128mb of vram. During installation, I checked off all boxes to install everything/all drivers. The installation finishes smoothly and reboots my laptop. Upon reboot, I see the Apple logo and then the spinning icon. Shortly afterwards the screen goes blank (a completely grey screen, it doesn't power off the screen). No matter how long I let it sit or what keys I press, the screen remains grey/blank. I have no idea what's going on or how to fix it. I'd appreciate any sort of pointers. Thanks in advance for helping out a noob!
