this is what i got,

dimension 4600,P4 2.4ghz(3ghz with HT(sse3)is on the way),1gb ddr,80 gig hdd(windoof xp),1 250 gig hdd(Jas sse2 sse3 Osx86 with 8.8.1 kernel,dec. sometime)1 200gig hdd(gotta have the space),1 250 gig hdd(ok so i am a pig),gforce fx 5200(128mb)

it works like a dream:star_smile.gif

sound works(have not tried to get the surround to work yet)

graphics work(ci and qe but no agp)

network is up and runnig

iTunes works great

iLife software works great(iDvD,iMovie)dev.gif

dual boot with acronis is easy and works like a dream

 

my prob

dvd play back is choppy at best(real poor)sad.gif

divx play back the samesad.gif

Quicktime is the only video player that works at the momentwacko.gif

when i try the "about this mac" it resets the desktop guithumbsdown_anim.gif

 

anybody got any ideas on how i can fix these things,is it cause of the cpu(no sse3) i looked thru the forum for days and found nothing

also how to hide the windoof hdd from osx(the icon on the desktop) if i set the acronis os selector to hide it i get an error when osx boots that the volume i tried to mount is unavail, its ok but it nerves(or how to set osx to stop tryin to mount that drive

Try VLC media player - works well. Also try a newer kernel, yours might have an FSB issue.

Search the forum for loginwindow, you'll have to get this file and replace the one you have.
