troubby
So I finally got JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3 and I'm running AMD Turion 64 ML-30 Processor, Acer Aspire 5002WLMi. I got the image, unrared to an external FTFS hard drive, and picked up the image with daemon from there. I'm trying to install using VMware, I set up the drive, allocating HD space and 512 mb Ram and all those goodies, and I get an error message titled: System config file:/com.apple.boot.plist not found. Anyone know what this is, and how to fix it? Thanks a lot in advance, and please try to hurrrrry! lon36unn3r
well if u have multiple drives u could alway format again on another drive and back your mac drive and redo it again to get it to the way you wanted and copy the file back. that what i did it a pain but it save me from finding or downloading files again. troubby
I've been doing some more research and it seems to be one of three things a) a problem with the install file (most likely, I think, esp. if you un-rared the file) a problem with having 2 Hard Drive disks (probably not this) c) a problem with the AMD processors and having it patched the right way. I'm about 85% sure that A is the problem, but if anyone a little more knowledgeable than me can suggest something, please do. lon36unn3r
problem with 2 hard drives.. your mbr get written to, to tell which OS to boot. if you swap of format one of the drive that happen to have the mbr at the begining sector of the drive so once that get format the mbr data is gone so there for we're sort of screw.. because if im understand correct the boot.plist is similar to boot.ini or what not on the dowz... troubby
What's MBR/swap of format, etc. Can you be more specific as to what I should do? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44466-comapplebootplist-problems/#findComment-319319 Share on other sites
jbkkd
I'm having the same problem, and oddly I have two hard disks. I tried installing JaS 10.4.6 and 10.4.8 but no luck with both of them. tripler
Troubby, can you try pressing F8 when you see the error message? I just tried out the DVD, but I also get the same error. It seems that my computer is trying to load the com.Apple.boot.plist file from the location "hd(144,0) Ethernet PXE Client" instead of the disc.
