dre2kse
Hi, I have a BCM5751 and the interface came up with mac 00:00:00:00:00:00. Anytime I issue ifconfig en0 ether 00:12:xx:xx:xx:xx (mac omitted) or ifconfig en0 lladdr 00:12:xx:xx:xx:xx OSx freezes as soon as either of the cmd above is issued. I am running 10.4.8 (8.8.1) Jas w/Semthex. Does anyone have any other advice or things to try? So far my search has not turned up anything thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44465-applebcm5751-and-ifconfig-en0-ether-osx-freeze/ Share on other sites
dre2kse
This happens when its tried with or without the network cable connected. The mac address I entered is the one seen from ipconfig under windows/arp -a on the network. When I do a tcpdump the card is actually trying to send packets to network (arps and other stuff). Has anyone else had this problem where the OS completely locks up/freeze when the ifconfig en0 ether xx:xx:... command is issued? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44465-applebcm5751-and-ifconfig-en0-ether-osx-freeze/#findComment-318509 Share on other sites
