Veggfx
I'd love to install Mac OS X on my machine, however, Acronis Disk Director won't format nor resize any of my partitions. It reboots, analyzes the partitions, reboots and nothing was changed. I'm currently running a Windows XP Professional SP2 Student version if that helps. Thanks in advance. ~Veg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43840-acronis-disk-director/ Share on other sites

Alucard!
Let me get it right. You let the acronis to format your partition or osx? You format with acronis in windows or after the reboot (When you reboot then it pops up the partition selection window). And have you tried this wonderful program called gparted? or ubuntu linux cd? aQd
you cannot use acronis to format. I have tried it and it doesn't work the only way to format is to use disk utility from the install dvd then, you still might need to set it bootable (do a search for b0) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43840-acronis-disk-director/#findComment-313586 Share on other sites
GimmeRed
I downloaded ubuntu 6.10. It will run from the CD, and I was able to Resize my Windows partition create a new partition and format it to fat 32 without any problems. It has a built in disk utility, Gnome if I remember right, that works great.
