Synaesthesia Posted February 27, 2007 Share Posted February 27, 2007 Ok I want to buy a colorful 7600gs, to run in OSX86, luckily I have an SSE3 intel processor. I have successfully updated to 10.4.8, daemones kernel, from a Jas 10.4.7 install which went better than I thought (thanks EGWAN), but I am wondering, how must I install Titan? If I put in the 7600, then will OS X boot in safe mode successfully so I can apply the patch? Because if I just put in a 7600 card in my computer, the graphics won't work, so I can't perform any steps, like use terminal etc. Otherwise, I must do it from single user mode or something. I'm just wondering? Basically my question is, how do you boot OS X before Titan is installed, in safe mode? Must I boot on my intel GMA950 graphics, then install Titan, then shut down and insert the graphics card? Does anyone understand my question, and can help me? Posted February 27, 2007 Share Posted February 27, 2007 (edited) 1) Buy 7600GS 2) Download Jas 10.4.8 - latest one with the 8.8.1 Kernel 3) Install card 4) Install 10.4.8 and select Titan during installation -or- 1) Buy 7600GS 2) Install card 3) Boot up computer, it will boot up, if not it will in safe mode 4) Use the Natit Universal installer by Neo I would recommend after you get your Natit/Titan working, you use NVidiaEFI.kext. My system works better with that kext.
