All Natit does is read the ven id from the card and "inject" the proper EFI values into IOReg. Seeing as our Hacks don't have EFI and our graphics cards don't have EFI firmware, we depend on Natit (Titan). In theory it should work IF the card is detected and is supported by the OS X drivers.

Thanks for the reply, I'm just not completely sure what you meant by the card being detected and supported by (which?) OS X drivers. Is there any other solution for me to use to get the card working on my Mac Pro?

Not sure what your level of technical expertise is, but your Mac Pro would be usinig EFI as opposed to BIOS. So I'm not sure a card without EFI firmware (ie a non mac Specific ATI Card) would work even with the natit drivers on an EFI system. From what I've read so far, natit uses the nvidia efi drivers in the 10.4.8 release under the 8.8.1 kernel and translate to bios or something like that. Apologies if I am totally off the mark.

If you already have the card, it would be worth a shot, but if you are planning on buying one to try out its probably not a good idea.

Quite an interesting question post any results.

Finally cheers to all the guys who have made osx86 possible.
