Perry44
So I recently installed Vista Ultimate with Bootcamp, and everything went good. However, when I turn off my iMac and restart it, Vista auto. boots up, instead of OSX? I have to hold option and select Mac OSX HDD, where it should be the exact opposite? This isnt a huge deal, I was just wondering if anyone could help me solve it. Thanks. -- Perry Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43368-osxvista-boot-switched/ Share on other sites
tracerbullet
Sounds like your windows partition is the active one. Open up terminal (in osx) and do the following: Open Terminal (Go > Utilities > Terminal) Open FDISK (type FDISK -e /dev/rdisk0 where 0 is the disk number you're running) Type 'P' without quotations to list your partitions, note which number your os x partition is Type 'f 2' where 2 is the partition number you're running OS X from Type Write (and then say yes to what it asks you) Reboot and you should be good to go. I think that this is the correct steps to take, please someone correct me if I'm incorrect. I'm having issues with my OS X installation right now and can't test the commands.
