The Baron
Hi, I've searched everywhere for this with no luck. I have OS X on one partiiton, and my music on another. Is there a way to get iTunes to 'see' all this music? ATM, I double click on a mp3 file and iTunes imports it to my primary partition - Music - iTunes Music etc so I have 2 copies of everything. Anyone know a solution? TIA, The Baron Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43304-itunes-partition/ Share on other sites
munky
Check iTunes preferences - you can specify a different folder to be your music folder. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43304-itunes-partition/#findComment-309571 Share on other sites
The Baron
I've tried that, I selected the drive but nothing happens. Got it. I also selected 'Add to Library' and that seemed to grab the albums without putting them on my os x partition. Thanks. Fuzzlet
There's also a selection under advanced for copying files to your music folder upon adding, uncheck that.
