renegadeandy
Hi guys! I am nearly in Hackintosh Zen! However i am finding it hard to cope with having my laptop on battery, to suddenly turn around and see it dead before me, with no warnings or power meters I cannot judge how much battery is left in the tank. Can anybody please advise me on a tool which will see my battery. I am on an Acer Ferrari 3200 laptop. Thanks very much Andy Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43192-battery-meter-missing/ Share on other sites

renegadeandy
Perfect thankyou! Now I need USB support when i plug a USB mass storage device into a usb port - dmesg reports this: USBF: 139.974 ControlTransaction: control packet 1 error 0xe0004057 USBF: 139.974 [0x2847100] The IOUSBFamily is having trouble enumerating a USB device that has been plugged in. It will keep retrying. (Port 4 of hub @ location: 0x70000000) USBF: 139.974 [0x2847100] The IOUSBFamily was not able to enumerate a device. What can i do to make it work? Technobob
Try and see if you can disable USB Legacy Support in your BIOS if that does not work try an older version of IOUSBFamily.kext Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43192-battery-meter-missing/#findComment-309395 Share on other sites
renegadeandy
My cpu runs ALL the time but is barlely being used most of the time in mac os x. The whole system seems to run very hot which is bizarre as windows and linux run very cooly. The fans seem to be running all the time which is annoying and battery life is poor therefore. Im running on an AMD 64bit 2800+ mobile Acer Ferrari 3200. There is nothing running which i can afford to shut, but its hardly being used anyway. Can anybody offer any advice on a fix for this 'melting' problem!
