poeee
I'll start by saying i'm a complete n00b when it comes to OSx86 and i'm just wanting to have a play. I downloaded JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3 My system specs are... AMD AM2 4600+ X2 Gigabyte M55SSLI-S4 2x 1gb DDR2 512mb 7950GT 320gb WD SATA It seems to install fine, but when it restarts, nothing happens. I mean NOTHING. Doesn't even try to boot. If the install DVD is left in and I wait til the timer counts down, it says "System Config File '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found". I'm trying it as a single boot, nothing else is on the HDD. Any suggestions? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43088-no-boot-at-all/ Share on other sites
macphreak4evr
try choosing less options when installing, dont do the titan or language packages, just the base amd stuff. start small and work your way up. also , the 10.4.6 seemed to work better for me. 10.4.8 didnt work well at all on my toys. poeee
Yeah I tried it a few times, last time with only the AMD package. Seems like I should of browsed these forums before I downloaded. Seems like people are having alot of problems with the 10.4.8 core. I'll give it another go on an older machine when I have time... my A64 s939 3200+, WinFast NF4K8MC mATX, 512mb DDR400. Also, how does it run on AthlonXP systems? I've also got a 2100+ AXP with a KT333 motherboard (my nForce2 motherboard popped some caps).
