texaseducate Posted February 19, 2007 Share Posted February 19, 2007 Alright so I'm about to be in the market for a new laptop soon and I don't know whether to get an Acer TM8210-6597 or a Macbook Pro - now before you jump on my case, keep these things in mind: 1) The Acer's cheaper - its $1799 right now and dropping (cuz the model I mentioned is XP-installed so its dropping in price with the release of Vista) and the Macbook NEVER goes on sell. 2) The Acer has a pan/tilt camera. 3) The Acer has a 8x Superburner (the macbook i want is the 15.4" so it has a max 6x burner). 4) The Acer is built just like the Mac - same graphics X1600 graphics card, same processor, same hdd, ect. What in your opinion is the best purchase choice and why - keep in mind - I have an Acer now and its never let me down.
