palemonkey
I've only got an external USB drive on this pc right now so there's no way I can boot the DVD. I've tried copying over the dvd files to an external USB drive but nothing happend . Any ideas? Edit: Used the VMWare to Native guide and it worked great. Apple Freak
Why doesn't it boot into the DVD? Check the BIOS at startup, disable USB Legacy, boot to the DVD with the USB plugged, then, install to the external HDD. And finally, enable USB Legacy again. Then it should boot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42833-help-me-install-osx-1048/#findComment-306353 Share on other sites
palemonkey
Apparently external DVD drives don't work on boot unless they're connected through firewire.
