Makc Posted February 15, 2007 Share Posted February 15, 2007 Hi. I tryed to install JaS 10.4.6 on Samsung p29 laptop (SSE2 only, Radeon9100IGP,Broadcom network,SoundMax sound). I use boot option -v and get: FireWire (OHCI) TI ID 8023 PCI now active, GUID 00030d492556e7fc; max speed s400 Still waiting for root device Still waiting for root device ... How it is possible to solve this problem? P.S. I can't turn off firewire device in bios. DiaboliK Posted February 15, 2007 Share Posted February 15, 2007 its not your firewire's problem its your hard disk partition its slightly corrupted and you have the dreaded still waiting for root device error. search around for it in the forums, its not an uncommon problem.
