frankietabs
Hey guys. My hackintosh was running smoothly with everything running except wireless card. Anyway, I installed Office 2004. It then automatically updated Office 2004 via Apple's website. Now when I boot up, it hangs on the Apple OS X boot up gray screen. Anyone know why? But I can boot into OS X through Darwin -v and it loads. Your help would be greatly appreciated. P.S. Intel 945 Core 2 Duo 1.66 system, 1 GB Ram is my laptop Edited February 14, 2007 by frankietabs Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42384-installed-office-2004-now-os-x-wont-boot-up/ Share on other sites
Joentje
First: What version of Office 2004 do you have? Trail, retail? And, is it legal? My version is not legal, and just got a pop-up reminding me to buy, however, that could have been from the trail, as I first tried the application. But, Office shouldn't supposed to f*ck up your installation. Didn't you do another action at the same time? Secondly, I do not think Microsoft blocks your OSX for having this {censored} illegal. So, uninstall it, reboot, and do you have the problem then as well? If no, reinstall Office, and try again...
