I need some advice to fix my usb problem (doesn’t work and no appears in system profiler), I’ve tried various methods to fix, apple usb debug kit with the latest iousbfamily kext version, enable/disable usb legacy on bios etc.), but no luck

Here my specifications (currently I’m running osx 10.4.8)

Pentium d820 processor 2.8 GHZ

512mb ram

80gb hd ide

Intel® Desktop Board D102GGC2

Chipset : ATI* Radeon* Xpress 200 Chipset (looks like this is the problem)

in verbose mode appears in yellow text some usb errors like this:

unable to load extension appleusbohc (or something like that) has no kernel dependency.

Maybe some users with my same motherboard or chipset could help me.

sorry for my spanglish ;)

Thanks in advance

Finally i fixed the usb problem, in the bios disable all the usb ports integrated in the motherborad, installed a cheap usb pci card with 4 post model PCTronix USB 2.0 4 port via model ck0001 A/C and usb finally works.

Hope it helps to anybody with the same board and problem.

I don't know if this helps future users with problems but I have an ATI NB as well on my motherboard and I had to fiddle with some of the settings in the bios to get OSX to see what I wanted it to see. Something I thought was interesting is that only some of the onboard ports work. My firewire and one of my two onboard ethernet ports work, but some of the other ports including one of the network ports don't work. No big deal, just interesting I suppose. Working with the bios during the setup and initial bootups helped me a great deal as I was able to disable things (i.e. SATA which OSX couldn't see anyway) which helped the setup process as it let OSX focus on the hardware I wanted it to work with.
