Sheepshank Posted November 7, 2005 Share Posted November 7, 2005 Hey everyone I managed to get the origional dead moo image to work on an old IDE 8 gb hard drive i had lying around, and have been trying to get mac os to boot on my 300 GB maxtor sata harddrive and just get the "waiting root device" ie http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?ac...ype=post&id=644 ive tried disabling USB and such, disconnecting all other hardware, to no avail. Any ideas? My system is An ASUS K8ne Deluxe (nforce 3), s754 2800, 6800 geforce nu, SATA Maxtor 300 gb 16 mb cache. Any ideas guys? as id like to tweak this OS out and have a look at it- used it at Uni the other day seemed so damn intuitive (native os x) Ps if my sata controller doesnt work with os-x86 then any ideas how to get it to work- its weird that it would load the boot screen from the HDD then just give up and search the IDE's instead Thanks in advance for replies mike Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4198-waiting-for-root-device/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
