turbofrank
Hi! I boot from a MAC OS x86 DVD, which actually worked on a Samsung X10 Notebook, but the ^^ this message appears. I have no clue how to solve the problem. Has anyone an idea? (Desktop PC: AMD 3000xp) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41443-error-message-before-starting-installation/ Share on other sites

DanS
First question, what version of OSX are you trying to install? Second, does the AMD 3000xp support SSE2 or SSE3? I have a PC with a 2400+ AMD mobile processor and it doesn't even support SSE2. Third, what components besides an AMD 3000xp does your PC have? I doubt that your PC has the same specifications as the Samsung x10 notebook. Once you know the specs for your PC, go to http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page and check to see if they are compatable components for the OS X version you are using. Also do a search on this forum for any new drivers that have been created and not yet posted on the wiki site, and download them. After you have posted the answer to these questions, someone may be able to help you. Guest bikedude880
That processor only supports SSE, not SSE2 or SSE3. Proof That motherboard will give you nothing but trouble if you had a supported CPU.
