Cardon Alister
Hello you all, I installed successfully (I think...) marklar-tiger (Apple.OS.X.x86.Developer.Kit.Install.DVD-pheNIX) dvd image with patches (Bender-Marklar-Tiger-patch-Test3.ppf SS3->SS2) like described at some webpages. MD5 checksums are correct. DVD test at installing proccess is OK. Once the installation is complete, my computer hangs at rebooting prompt. When booting it shows the message "EBIOS read error: Device timeout block 1810244 sectors 64". A verbose boot shows: com.apple.IOKit.IOATABlocksStorage has an illegal string offset in symbol 0 (zero) error mapping module file com.apple.IOKit.IOATABlocksStorage can't map com.apple.IOKit.IOATABlocksStorage in preparation for loading can't determinate depend for com.apple.IOKit.IOATABlocksStorage couldn't allow class "com.apple.IOKit.IOATABlocksStorage" still watching for root device... My motherboard is supposed to work (Abit VT7 with VIA PT880/VT8237 chipset). My PC is a P4 2,8 (512KB L2), 512 MB dual DDR RAM, a 20GB seagate UATA hd (master at first channel), geforce FX5200. Is there some solution changing/editing any file? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4140-failed-installation/ Share on other sites
