TheBigBlah
I seem to have a problem after a fresh install of OSX 10.4.6 on the following system -Asus P5GDC-V Deluxe 915G chipset -P4 530 3.0ghz (cant remember if it supports SSE3) -1gb DDR2 400mhz -Intel Integrated Extreme 2 Graphics -Cmedia 8738 pci card (since onboard 9880 will not work) -300GB SATA 150 drive -LG DVD-RW It installed alright, though I had a B0 Error while booting, which was fixed by rebuilding the MFT. So far, very impressed, first time ive actually messed around with a Mac OS, installed nice and easy. The problem: I decided to install World of Warcraft onto the machine (even though I dont play it anymore), inserted the CD, and double clicked the setup program when it popped up. Id see the icon zoom in and dissapear, as well as an icon appear on the dock which would stay on for 2 seconds, then dissapear. Tried again, same thing. Tried warcraft 3, same thing. I then tried getting drivers for the CMEDIA card, and ran the sh installer, simmilar results, an empty text document would open and a terminal window of all the commands run would show up. I also think there was something else that popped up very quickly on the dock, but dissapeared. At this point im thinking something definately isnt right here. So I was lost, looking around I noticed the "About This Mac" option, clicked it, screen went blue, the dock and top bar were gone at this point, then the dock and top bar would reload and the background too. Ive been attempting to search with no luck, its probably a nice and easy one for you guys, but for me im lost, so any help is appreciated. Im thinking I might format and reinstall again just in case.. Anyways, thanks in advance Edited February 5, 2007 by TheBigBlah Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40991-cant-even-run-about-this-mac/ Share on other sites
