Thi3f Posted February 2, 2007 Share Posted February 2, 2007 (edited) I tried to install Katana and get a larger screen resolution but when i finished the install and restarted my computer and now osx hangs on the apple and spinning wheel. I looked around but couldn't find any way to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: I managed to uninstall Katana but I still can't figure out how to change my screen res above 1024x768. Any help with that would be appreciated too. zackint0sh Posted February 2, 2007 Share Posted February 2, 2007 (edited) back when i used a radeon 9800 pro (agp), i found the best i could do was to use omni's callisto, joblo10's agpgart, set the framebuffer in the Info.plist of some ati9700 kext to use 'callistofb', and find 3rd-party mouse pointer apps to help w/ awful tearing when using scrollwheel, etc. it was a real pain, but at least i could playback dvd's alright and could use my native 1600x1200 on my monitor. google searches on the programs above ought to at least get you to your desired res w/ qe and ci.
