ezerasurfr
hey... I'm new to this software and have been browsing the forums for the past few days... I'm having some problems installing ANY applications. I have 8.1.0 running on a dell p4 optiplex. The OS installs fine, however safari crashes constantly (i tried running it through rosetta, but it will not open). My processor is an SSE2. any help would be appreciated... Kanji_Man
First of all what installation method did you use? If you have an SSE2 only processor I'd reccomend the Release 1 generic install DVD, make sure SSE2 is selected during install, then upgrade to maxxus 0.5c .. the 10.4.3 update is really only for SSE3 according to what I've read. Second of all which applications are you having trouble installing? Are they PPC, Universal, or Intel binaries? What is your overall system setup (AMD64? P4? Intel, via, asus, what?).. the more information you give us to work with the more we can help you.
