Help with Mac os x jas 10.4.7

I start mac from DVD when i boot, and it starts to show parameters and it ask me to press enter to start the installation and when i hit enter it starts to run but then it turns black and that's it, I have a 800x600 screen configuration is a crt 15 inches, may be that's the problem, or im doing something wrong.

 

CPU: P4 prescott cache1MB

MB: Intel D865Perl

512: Ram

Video: ati 9550

I seem to be having the same problem you are. not idea what is up with it. Installed it both to my hard drive and my western digital external HDD.

 

Intel Pentium M Processor 1.6GHz

512 MB RAM

Ati radeon 9700 video card.

When it starts to countdown (it says press any key to install OSX), pres the options button (ik think its F8, but i don't really rember, but it will tell you witch one it is). Thene, type "-v" (without quotes ofcourse) and press enter. Then you willl probably see what the error is.

 

Also, a non working installer in most cases doens't really mean that OSX won't work on you PC. It just means that the installer himself is causing conlicts. Usually, it works whene you install it on an external HD from a computer wich can handel the installer, then run OSX from there and remove the files that are causing conflicts, and then copy the contents of that external harddrive to your computers. It did this for a lot of people who are saving for a real mac and who's laptops had that problem
