decide
Hello I'm trying to install the latest Jas 10.4.8on a secondary harddrive in my computer but the drive is not recognized in the disk utility thats on the osx cd. I formated the hdd with fat32 primary and my second try was ntsf. Then I just tried it unformated but its not recognized. When i plug in my external usb drive the disk utility from osx recognizes it. What can I do? My first hdd with 2 partitions is recognized but i dont wanna format one of these. U.C.
Have you tried only plugging in your secondary drive as primary. Also is you primary drive IDE and secondary SATA ??? decide
My first drive is an ATA and the second one too. Maybe I unplug the first harddrive and try again. Isn't there any other programm to partition a hdd with hfs+? U.C.
Make some unpartitioned space on your second drive and goto Run, type CMD and press Enter 1) Now in CMD, type Diskpart and press Enter 2) type Select Disk 1 (Disk 0 if you wanna make the HFS+ partition on your first disk) 3) type Create partition primary id=af 4) type Exit This will make a PRIMARY HFS+ partition on your second drive, with the size being equal to the unpartitioned space. decide
Ok diskpart made the primary partition but I still cant see the hdd. Is it possible to install on an usb harddrive and copy it to the second hdd? Or should I try a vmware install?
