jon9314
i tried the install on my other pc and it worked! the momo is 865perl/ich5 same as other exept it is made by aopen instead of intel. it allso has less ram and slower p4 but osx seams to run plenty fast. any ideas why it won't work on my other pc? lounger540
There's a thread with the IONetworkingFamily.kext form 10.4.3 . That will work with the Intel Pro 100VE Onboard NIC. I don't see it in your hardware report, but I think it's the same as the one on my 865GBF The onboard audio should just work, I don't know about the Creative 128. I think there was a driver for that on the OSX86 wiki drivers forum. It may be too old for 10.4.8 though. jon9314
my board dosn't have the intergrated nic. i also thought the sound should have "just worked" as it did on the 2nd pc same sound on both of them. lounger540
Try resetting your BIOS settings possibly and also fix permissions in Disk Utility. You can also check your kernel logs in Console.app to see if there are any errors with drivers, etc. Other than that I don't know why one would work and not the other of the same type with the same install CD.
