okay...

after much pain and hardship (my main DVD drive doesnt boot OSX... or Linux for that matter), I finally got OSX 10.4.8 JaS SS3 Intel installed.

When my Vista partition is set active (I prefer this as I wish to use BCD to dual-boot), when I selective Mac OS X rfrom the boot menu, I get "chain booting problem".

When OSX is set active, I get nothing... a black screen... not even a trailing underscore!

I have tried everything... every tutorial on booting Mac OS X x86 known to man (and several known to monkeys xD)... and still nothing!

I am desperate... I have been working on this for a week! Well, about 2.5 if you count d/ling VMWare Image (didnt work), d/ing 10.4.7 JaS image (RAR file is screwed up), and d/ling this image...

PLZ! Help is needed and will be much appreciated! :(:(:wacko::unsure:

Latest developments:

created Darwin UFS partition in cfdisk in Linux, formatted as HFS+ journaled in Disk Utility... installed to that.

Now when the Mac partition is active, it shows loading Darwin /x86, then goes to the gray Mac screen with the spinner and then displays the "no" sign (/) <-- cheap imitiation... when I try to hit F8 during the loading Darwin screen it does nothing...

When Vista bootloader is active and I select Mac OS X, it flashes blank for about 2 seconds, and then returns to the boot menu...

BTW, I posted my specs below in my sig... hope someone can help now
