CDub50
I have tried to use Jas 10.4.7 on my P4 3.2 HT ASUS P4S800D-X mobo with 2 gigs of ram 100 gig ata 133 drive with an ait 9800 pro agp video card. I had an issue with the video card because that .iso did not have the ati kext files included, but recently download the Jas 10.4.8 with sse3 and see3 AMD Intel release because this .iso included the nvidia and ati drivers. I installed the OS using the custom install method and chose only the intel patch with the ati patch as well. The install worked fine, but when I reboot it goes through loading darwin and gets to the Apple logo like it is going to load the os with the non colored spinning wheel, but after a while the logo disappears and just sits at a blank white screen. I tried to set the video resolution on boot up of darwin with no luck. I tried the d-sub as well as the dvi port on my video card with the same results. My monitor is a 22" westinghouse not sure if that matter just wanted to let you know my setup. Please help I really wanted to get this working and it seems like I am close, but I cannot figure out what the issue is. Thank you in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39086-jas1048amdintelsse2sse3-install-help/ Share on other sites

You can then later on install the ati kernel modules. You can also try booting with -x (kind of safe mode), but that will probably not work very well though. CDub50
I tried booting with -x, but that did nothing I will try to load it again without the ATi drivers. I will post my results. Yenzula22
I actually have much the same problem. Boots past apple logo and petal timer, only to freeze at a white screen. When I boot -v it freezes somewhere around "No Airport Driver Found" and with -v -s -x it does about the same thing. I have seen nothing to let me know that it recognizes my graphics adapter. Boot success is greatly desired... CDub50
I tried to install Jas 10.4.8 again this time not including the ati drivers that were on the dvd and Still no luck getting past the Apple logo. i'm not sure if this is a video card issue. The only thing that I'm not sure about is which ati cards are supported by the drivers on the Jas 10.4.8 SSE2 SSE3 disk. I have an older 9800 pro so I thought this would work. Anyone have any aswers to this. I am going to try and download a Jas 10.4.4 image because I have been reading in the forums the ati drivers were included in this release can someone else confirm this. Looking in te image through isobuster I did see an ati1000 driver included which cards does this support. CDub50
I already checked the wiki and verified all hardware is supported. Yes my DVD is working otherwise I wouldn't have been able to install anything in the first place. You should try reading my posts if you are going to give advice. I have been trying this for a few days with no results and I've been posting what I have tried, but it seems like no one has any answers to this problem. Is there any info I can gather on boot or anything else that might help I am willing to try anything at this point just let me know what info you need.
