jkh13
I followed the guide at http://www.osxx86.info/installguide/installguide.htm and got to the part with formatting the "af" hard drive using disk utility (step 8), however when I click partition it says that all data on all volumes will be deleted. Is there anyway to avoid this as I want to keep my windows install as well? I am installing using the JaS 10.4.7 disk using a single 120gb hard drive on a Sony Vaio SZ laptop partition 1 : 6gb, recovery partition, primary 2: 36gb windows 3: id=af 7 gb 4: logical partition 60gb Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/39027-partitioning-problems/ Share on other sites
maranello
Hello jkh13, To format the partition you already created, select the partition in Disk Utility in the list on the left (I think it would be disk0s3), then click on the Erase tab and the Erase button.
