tokra128
Well, Until now I have found 2 serious bugs 1. Disk Utility from sse2/sse3 intel/amd is broken - Situation - New hdd, osx only, as long as I use a whole hdd for OSX install, and I use the Disk Utility from sse2/sse3 amd/intell installer, osx is installing, but from strange reason it is unable to install the boot loader. If the partition is created with 10.4.7 dvd or 10.4.8 sse3 intel only and then the install is done using 10.4.8 sse2/sse3 amd/intel dvd all is working correct ! Also, the sise for Disk Utility on intel sse3 only dvd is 2.9 mb, and the one from 10.4.8 sse2/sse3 amd/intel is arrounf 10 mb PS - This errors do not appear as long as OSX is installed side by side with windows on the same hdd .... 2. Intel pro 100/VE network card is not working - on intel sse3 only 10.4.8 dvd I was abble to get this network card to work using the tutorial from Genious Bar ... on 10.4.8 sse2/sse3 amd/intel dvd, the steps presented on the tutorial are useless Hope that someone could find some solution for this bugs, and I invite the rest of the users to present the bugs and solution if it is possible Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38102-1048-sse2sse3-amdintel-bug-reports/ Share on other sites

nexus77777
Well, first of all Big thanks goes to JaS !!! and happy new year !!! Well I tried the iso not patched and the pached too, the first one seems better for my hardware ! (Intel 915 GEVL , P4 630 2Gig ddr2 4sata drives) selecting intel GMA 900, Azalia and JaS stuff: Gma 900, Azalia and Lan drivers must be replaced , for rights trouble certainly but installation and system runs correctly. With the patched DVD, installation goes well until reboot: strange blue lines on a grey screen, so couldn't finish configurating Macosx, I could acces partition with an other version of osx and removed Gma 900 driver reboot ; repair rights or replace .kext cause got errors on: on mac os start up get lot of errors loading \System\Library\PrivateFrameworks\NetInfo.framework... AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext AppleAzaliaAudio.kext AppleAzaliaController.kext AppleIntel915.kext IONetworkingFamily.kext AppleIntel8255x.kext YES, disk utility seems bugged, I've got "only" 64 mo of NVRAM instead of 224 and CI and QE are not running ...previuosly YES. at this point the JaS 1048 Intel only.iso seems the best choice for me... Hope this will Help for debugging things.... WiteWulf
Hi folks...long time lurker, first time poster. Thanks to JaS and the other guys first off for all this hardwork and great product! I've been running JaS' 10.4.7 on a Dell Optiplex GX280 (3.2GHz P4, i915G/GMA900, PATA DVD, 80GB SATA HDD, 2x512MB DDR2 RAM) with all hardware operational (and QE/CI) except the onboard Broadcom NIC (I'm using a PCI Intel EtherPro 100 instead). I could never get JaS' 10.4.8 update to work on this machine (always crashed at reboot after install) so decided to give the new release a try with the following results: - Tried the patched disc first with Intel.SSE2.SSE3, GMA900 and 10.4.4 Login Window as install options. Install went ok until first reboot where I get the garbled grey/blue screen nexus77777 reports and I can hear the music playing in the background. Couldn't see a damn thing on screen so gave up on that. - Went back to the unpatched disc and this installed with no problems at all however neither of my NICs are visible, and there's no QE/CI. Going back to the 10.4.7 install now, this is surprising to me as the 10.4.7 JaS disc worked so well! *EDIT* Ufulu has a fix for the garbled screen issues here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=38078 I'm back on the patched 10.4.8 install now. *EDIT* Copied the IONetworkingFamily.kext from my old 10.4.7 install over to the new 10.4.8 and my Intel Etherpro is working again now Edited January 9, 2007 by WiteWulf Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38102-1048-sse2sse3-amdintel-bug-reports/#findComment-271821 Share on other sites
3on
I'm getting crashes on Jas 10.4.8 partitin and also AMD FINAL one. I discover something funny. I can prevent my hackintosh from crashing if I make sure it always stay in activity. To test it I decided yesterday evening (Paris time) to run flurry in background thanks to Backlight, and my hackintosh has not crash yet. When it crash I get a Kernel error in the log. I'm almost shure that network protocols such as afp and ftp, help it to crash even faster (with no load my hackintosh crash in less than 20 minutes). doc_u
2. I was able to use and modify the same kext from the JaS 10.4.6 DVD and get the internal network working on my Intel D945GNTLR. - Doc Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38102-1048-sse2sse3-amdintel-bug-reports/#findComment-275880 Share on other sites

São Risal
I install this version but I can't boot the system. I create one primary partition FAT32 with Acronis Disk Director. Then I create a mac partition with diskutil of the DVD install and install the jas 10.4.8 AMD Intel fine. But when I reboot the system and choice Mac OS in Acronis OS Selector, a black screen appears with blinking undersocre. No messages, just the underscore blinking. Anyone knows what to do? Thank's!
