thechung
Hi, This is probably an extreme noob question, but is it possible to just use the original instead of wasting time downloading one (since i have a macbook that came with them). I realize some versions are patched, but if i got the patch, can i apply it to the original dvd (its image of course) ??? jaminmc
IT is possible that you could put your harddrive in a firewire enclosure, and install OSX 10.4.8 from a macbook pro, and then replace the kernel and appleSmbios.kext, and then add the kext's for any hardware drivers you need, then put that harddrive in your computer. You are better off getting the install DVD, and save some brain damage Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38016-install-from-original-macbook-1048-dvd/#findComment-271221 Share on other sites
