giovanealex
First, I´m trying to install OS X86 10.4.6 GoatsecXDVD on this notebook: ---------- Toshiba A105-S4211: Centrino Core Duo 1.6 Ghz (T2050), 512 MB RAM, 80 GB SATA (only HD available, of course. partitions are: #1 WinXP/#2 FAT32 for DATA only/#3 OSX with 10 GB), Intel Graphics GMA950 (Intel 945GM chipset), IntelPro Wireless 3945ABG, DVD-RW Drive, Realtek Sound. ---------- I´ve already tried two different ways of installing it, regarding boot manager options. I will resume boot at the same time, pointing the diferences of boot using brackets. I installed Acronis on WinXP to use its boot manager (other installations without using it ended with a HFS+ partition error on boot). Installed the 10.4.6 OS X86 (using the following patches 10.4.4 SSE3 kernel only, common Wireless drivers, 10.4.5 and 10.4.6 update patches) and everything went really fine. On reboot, I select OSX partition using Acronis boot loader. It boots the OSX, showing that messages running fast across the screen and then, nothing more happens. The laptop simply stays whit a black screen and nothing more. I tried to disable Dual Core processing, but it goes the same way on boot. When I install this OSX DVD without Acronis I can go further on the messages running across on screen if I use an external monitor, instead of the laptop LCD. But then, instead of the black screen, I got a screen full of rectangles and squares. I don´t know what to do anymore. I´ve had success with OSX 10.4.5 installation only on my AMD Athlon64 3000 (ASUS K8N motherboard) desktop, using different hard disks to WinXP and OSX...it runs so smooth that it´s just unbelievable it installs on an AMD desktop and does nothing after boot in an Intel notebook. If someone can point my errors, give me some tips and advices I will be really grateful. I really wanna use OS X86 on my Toshiba notebook. Thanks a lot and Happy New Year!
